Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo-Complexe hair oil is a universal hair oil for all hair types, which main task is to beautify hair. Complex of perfectly chosen oils provides versatile everyday care. Combination of 4 conditioning oils, improves hair appearance after just few drops use. Hair gain gloss and silky smoother.
Among the four hair oils, the number one place takes maize oil, which nourishes hair and calms scalp irritations. Kerastase Elixir Ultime contains also argan oil in large amount, which provides protection against heat and regeneration for hair. Natural camellia oil ensures smoother and gloss, while pracaxi oil is a way to strengthen hair structure.
Beside the four conditioning oils, Kerastase Elixir Ultime consists of volatile and easy to wash down silicones, which are to smoother and protect hair. Unfortunately, these can also be the cause for additional oily scalp and weighting down hair. At the end of the composition is also some redundant alcohol.

Formula/packaging
Kerastase Elixir Ultime hair oil in a golden version is quite thick cosmetic. Its formula should match all hair types, but in reality it can be too heavy for fine hair. It is definitely better for thick and frizzing hair. It has really strong, perfume scent – a bit sweet yet not suffocating.
What’s characteristic about oils in Elixir Ultime collection is its elegant packaging. Basic version of Elixir Ultime Oleo-Complexe has really heavy bottle made of thick glass, holding precious oils within. Application is easier thanks to convenient pump for precise dosage of the cosmetic. The only downside is that with greasy hands it is easy to drop the bottle and break it.
Use/effects
Manufacturer recommends three application methods, which choice should depend on expected results. Before stylisation, Elixir Ultime can be applied on towel dry hair for easier combing. On already styled hair, on its entire length or ends alone for gloss. However, can be also used in everyday care to protect hair against unfavourable factors.
